The joy of traveling is compared to nothing. Everybody loves to travel. And why not? Traveling is fun, at least when you think or plan about it. Many a time the whole experience of traveling becomes sour. This is because of some issues that arise in between traveling which makes the whole thing a big mess.

From my personal endeavors, here are 7 cool travel tips which will enhance your future traveling experiences.

Best travel tips

1. Wake Up Early

Let’s face this. There may have been times where you skip a location, or an activity just because you are too lazy to wake up early in the morning. Be it to witness a beautiful sunrise across the valley, or to sight some wild animals in the jungle, or any other location which needs you to wake up early. Try waking up early to gain your extra travel advantage.

Firstly if you wake up early you will add few extra hours to your day to enjoy which also comes very handy if you have come to travel on a tight schedule.

Are you always worried about the huge crowd you face when going to a popular destination? Then waking up early is your way to go. You can easily avoid huge crowds by being to a place early.

Lastly, you can get cool photos for Instagram due to the soft diffused light.

2. Carry Extra Cash As You Travel

Cash is the real king when you are traveling. I totally agree that things have changed significantly in the past few years with international cards etc, but still keeping the cash is always important. You don’t know when an emergency situation will pop up in between your travels. Trust me, if you have some extra cash handy, it will be highly beneficial during this situation. A few hundred dollars is more than enough.

Always keep this extra cash in weird places like socks, backpack, folds of your shirt etc so that even when you are robbed you are in control of the situation.

3. Do Something Out Of Your Comfort Zone

This might not be easy. But trust me it is totally worth it. Doing something out of your comfort zone will truly help you to enjoy the travel to the maximum. Don’t get wrong here? Only skydiving or climbing a tall mountain is not all about getting out of our comfort zone. No. Do things that you don’t do generally.

Simple things like waking up early, eating some local food at an unknown place, or talking to the local people and knowing their lifestyle and culture better, and learning a bit of their local language can give you more joy than you can actually imagine.

This will help you gain memories, give you moments that you will cherish for a long time.

4. Take A Lot Of Photos

I know many will tell “What people will think if they see us taking photos of every other thing?” Just ask yourself one thing. Have you come to travel to look cool? Of course not. Don’t care about other people? You may forget the place after some time, but these photos will keep the memories alive for a lifetime.

Most importantly photos will cost you nothing.

5. Plan Less

Less planned, or unplanned travel trips are more exciting and adventurous. You won’t enjoy if you have fixed everything up at a particular time. Don’t ever fix your time for a particular place. Keep it flexible.

Don’t be in the mindset to travel every place as if it’s a job or a task in hand. People travel to make them free off the usual tasks. So relax and enjoy the trip however you wish.

6. Be Active

I see many people who travel to be quite lazy. It seems that they are there only to sleep.

No. Please don’t be lazy. Be active and attentive. It helps a lot. Try out some adventure sports and other challenging things that come your way rather than being a sloth.

I usually carry a weighted vest with me while I travel. It helps my body to work off a bit faster.

7. Pack Less Stuff

I hate people carrying heavy luggage while they travel. It seems that they are going for  30-40 days trip. I can bet that half of the things you carry are useless and are never used during your travel. So pack only the bare minimum things you need. If you are not sure about something, don’t worry, you will be able to buy them as you travel.
