The first Sunday of August is celebrated as Friendship Day in India which falls today, i.e. on August 2, 2020. Yet we are under the Corona attack and the scope to get to see our friends is pretty low. We know you must be missing your friends badly.

Since your movement is restricted, here are five original Netflix series that you can watch in the comfort of your home to mellow down your heart this Friendship Day.

1. Stranger Things

This American horror science fiction web series created by Duffer Brothers has attracted record viewership on Netflix and has a broad, active, and international fan base.

Set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, the series is infused with references to the pop culture of the decade while several themes and directorial aspects were inspired primarily by the works of Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, and Stephen King, as well as anime and video games.

Watch this to get enthralled in the world of five friends who battle the supernatural.

2. Dark

This German science fiction thriller web series co-created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese is yet another fan’s favorite. The show has received critical acclaim, with praise for its tone, visuals, acting, musical score, and the ambition and complexity of its narrative.

Set in the fictional German town of Winden, Dark’s storyline follows the aftermath of a child’s disappearance, which exposes the secrets of and hidden connections among four estranged families as they slowly unravel a sinister time travel conspiracy which spans several generations.

3. Cursed

Cursed is a retelling of the Arthurian legend, which follows the story of teenage sorceress Nimue who joins forces with a young and charming mercenary named Arthur on a mission to save Fey kind. It is based on the illustrated novel of the same name by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler.

4. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa for Netflix, based on the Archie comic book series of the same name. The series follows the witch Sabrina who fights the devil to protect her coven and human friends.

Watch this for a bewitching experience. And oh! Sabrina might even remind you of Emma Watson.

 

5. Always a Witch

The Colombian web television series follows the story of a witch and slave from 1646 and is set both in the 17th-century and present-day Cartagena, Colombia. Carmen, the witch is accused of witchcraft and is set to burn at the stake, according to the way of the Inquisition in 1646 colonial Colombia. While imprisoned and waiting for her execution, Carmen makes a deal with the wizard Aldemar, which makes her able to time-travel to 2019. In the new world, she survives sheerly because of friends.
