Days have gone, days are now, days will come. We were in them, we are in them, and we might be in them.
The calendar shows just the days, but we experience them, we live with them, and breathe in them. We know the best of our gone-by days and even the most consuming ones. Just 24 hours it is…is it just it?
For some of us, sometimes 24 hours of a day are not enough, but for those at some other times, these 24 hours are more than required. Is this some kind of a balancing act by which days can justify their positioning on the calendar? Or is it to make us realize that we are at the mercy of the calendar’s days and not vice versa?
Let us take a different approach now to know this better.
Every creature of this blessed planet of our magnanimous solar system has experienced the most memorable day or days and has also not been forgiven of experiencing the worst day or days. So, where is the difference? When we feel happy and contended, at times, others may not be, and when we might be feeling sad, or devastated, others might have just recovered from their bad or consuming days.
We must remember that we should never become the reason for anybody’s bad days. However, when we feel happy and see others struggling to be happy then we can always try to become a reason to make their day a memorable one.
The struggles are similar for all but at different times. This is because of a simple reason that our planet spins to be stable, and this is what we should never forget that the balance of good and bad days keeps us stable and grounded in our own orbit.
How do we tag the best days as the best and the worst days as the worst? Did you get the answer? Is it our expectations? Expecting something or the other gives us the parameter to gauge the magnitude of happiness or sadness on any particular day. Because of our thoughts and expectations, our days are different. So, does that mean we should stop expecting at all? The answer is a big No.
Our imaginations and expectations push us to be happy after experiencing sadness; they have pushed humans to rise from being wanderers to being civilized and learned. Every creature has evolved, and if they have not been able to, then they have just become extinct. A caterpillar has an expectation to come out and live when it is trapped in a dark cocoon, even when it thinks it’s all over. The result is an astonishing butterfly.
All be it; we should never stop being positive and never stop expecting. Sun has been burning for millions of years but has not burned yet. Burn yourself to expect, innovate and contribute but do not get burnt in your own heat.
Every gray cloud has a silver lining. Those gray clouds will either burst and send rain showers or fly away, but there comes the light that you need to brighten yourself and your days with. Live up to see that light even when the cloud is thick.
The challenge is not to lose yourself in those harsh and cruel days and not envy others when they are happy. Do not judge their moments of happiness as they would have had it after a long struggle. You had it earlier but might not have lived them fully.
Let us remember and be positive that Earth will spin again, and you will have similar days again, so gear up.
