This passionate youthful lady stole the limelight at Edgbaston on Tuesday as she enthusiastically blew her trumpet, cheering for the men in blue from the stands while India went on to qualify for the ICC World Cup 2019 semi-finals for the seventh time in the history of the tournament by defeating Bangladesh.
Identified as 87-year-old Charulata Patel by the commentators, this woman proved that age is just a number. While the performances were superlative and everyone was talking about it online, this saree clad woman, along with a sweater and shawl, painted Indian flags on her cheeks and plastic trumpet at Edgbaston won everyone’s heart.

While talking to ANI, this octogenarian says, “I have been watching cricket for the last many decades, from the time I was in Africa. Earlier I used to watch on TV when I was working, but now that I am retired, I watch it live.”
Not just that, the skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma also met her in the stadium as well. As a heartwarming gesture, she blessed them as well while sharing the special moment together.
