As of today’s date, more than 2.19 crore cases of COVID have been registered in India of which over 1.79 Cr have recovered, and there have been above 2.38 Lakhs deaths. With this, the entire health infrastructure is in shreds with a shortage of oxygen, vaccines, and other medical supplies.

Yet perhaps it is the result of our own good rapport that several nations across the world have come forward and expressed their concern and aided India. While some have provided us with requisite medical assistance, some have stayed united implying a long-standing association.

Amongst all, the people of Israel have done something baffling in a move to show their goodwill.

Israelis Chants on namah shivay

In a video that has been going viral on social media, hundreds of Israelis gathered at one of the avenues in Tel Aviv chanting ‘OM NAMAH SHIVAYA (adoration to Lord Shiva). They did so in form of a mass prayer for India’s recovery against the COVID-19 crisis. Going a step forward, they expressed solidarity and conveyed a ‘get well soon‘ message for us as well.

Initially, the video was posted by Indian embassy official Pawan K Pal on Instagram.

“When whole Israel unites to give you a ray of hope,” he captioned the video.

It is the first time in 16 years that the nation is accepting international aid.
