AY Kavya is a resident of Agrahara Bachahalli village in Karnataka and a student of Kalpataru Degree College. On her wedding day, she entered the examination hall and wrote the Business Tax exam in her bridal attire and heavy gold jewelry.

Her marriage to Lohit was arranged much before the exam dates were announced and unfortunately both the dates collided, but Kavya was keen to sit for her exams, said her parents to TOI.

The wedding was supposed to be at 11 am, but her exam was from 9:15 am to 12:30 pm. Throughout the previous night, she took part in all the customary rituals. However the very next day, she went to the hall and gave her examination. After handing over the answer script to the invigilator, she went hurriedly back to the marriage hall and got married. “Kavya kept her composure through the exam,” a lecturer said, according to TOI reports.

A meritorious student, Kavya has scored 90% in all her previous semesters. The groom and his family members, her friends and relatives appreciated her decision to choose education before marriage and supported her to write her exam on the day of the wedding.

We wish her success and a happy married life ahead.
