This family from Bengaluru, Karnataka has been a complete rage in the media for its unique identity. Sevenraj, who is a realtor, and his family of four owns everything in red and white color code. For the same, they also have their name recorded in the India Book Of Records under Strange But True Records.
His original name is Number 7. In a candid conversation with Life Beyond Numbers, he shared why he was named so and his love for the red and white color.
Number 7 was born into a family of 7 kids and he is the seventh child, hence his name. Apart from being obsessed with red and white, he owns everything with the number 7 in it. Moreover, Sevenraj and his family are spiritualists.
Sevenraj is also a well-known villain in the Kannada Film Industry.
But no, there isn’t any superstition behind his affinity towards the number.
“I don’t believe in Number 7 being lucky or something. I use it because it’s my identity,” he clarified.
He has even learned 7 Languages – English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, and Malayalam.
Coming back to his dual-toned lifestyle, everything in Sevenraj’s life is red and white, from his office to his household furniture and decor. He is a follower of Swami Shivananda Paramhansa from whom he picked the white color and ideals of his life. Later he added the red color to become an icon like the great Mahatma Gandhi.
“Swamiji taught us to believe in spirituality. He was always clad in white. When I was a kid I used to have very long hair as his disciple. Later on, I carried his principles and color with me. Moreover, I was always influenced by Gandhiji. He is a man whom anyone would recognize. I wanted to create a similar icon of myself that people can easily identify,” explained Sevenraj.

Sevenraj’s favorite dress is a red tie on a white shirt. He doesn’t always buy branded clothes and takes very little time while shopping.
Even his wife and children have followed his footsteps to form a red and white army.
“Eighteen years ago, when I got married, it was something new to me. Later on, I understood the craze of my husband and stood by him. Whenever I am with him, I wear red and white color combinations,” says his wife Pushpa.
His son Bharathraj also joined his parents. “While I joined the school at Red House, the school uniform was red and white. Now, I am in PUC and, most of the time, I still prefer to wear the same,” said Bharathraj.
Likewise, his daughter also wears white and red. The family eats on red and white plates and dining table, relax on the red sofa, and even the toilets and kitchen bears the same red and white color combo. Even Sevenraj’s car and SUV are of the same color!
Apart from being a well known real estate agent and celebrity, Sevenraj is also a very pleasant human being. He loves peace and has opted for a harmonious life.
“My father has always taught me to do good and be good. I am an honest person even in my work. Besides that, I am non-alcoholic, non-smoker, and I don’t even take non-vegetarian food,” he says.
