Often it is the children who with their innocence and sense of value without a shred of complication and bias make the grownups realize things that they have long forgotten. And that is exactly what has been exemplified by a little girl who stirred the emotions of people stuck amid the Russia–Ukraine war.
As violence continues on the ground and the footage turn all gory and destructive, this video recorded on a cell phone featuring the young girl from a bombing shelter in Ukraine came as a message of peace.
The unwitting performance of the innocent girl turned emotional and caught the attention of all the spectators in the shelter and now it is making way into the heart of the netizens.
Named Amelia, the little Ukrainian girl was seen beautifully singing ‘Let it Go’ from the Oscar-winning Disney musical animated film Frozen.
As the video begins, Amelia can be seen singing the song which was sung by the protagonist Elsa in the animated film. If you are aware of the lyrics of the song, then you will remember that it is about letting go of all the bitterness and adversities seeking the strength within. Singing it at this particular moment, in that particular war-torn nation made it even more significant. The song symbolizes how strong she is against. Also, Amelia sings it in her native language marking her nativity, her nation.
This very moment was so very impactful that people in the shelter were seen listening to Amelia without any interruption. Some burst into tears and held together themselves wiping them away.
#WarDay #12 The courage of the children in the shelters is mind blowing. Let it go lyrics inspire the whole shelter. I’m in tears😭at the unfairness. pic.twitter.com/pmSm6sqFGG

More than 1 in 10 children worldwide are affected by armed conflict. The effects are both direct and indirect and are associated with immediate and long-term harm. The direct effects of conflict include death, physical and psychological trauma, and displacement. Indirect effects are related to a large number of factors, including inadequate and unsafe living conditions, environmental hazards, caregiver mental health, separation from family, displacement-related health risks, and the destruction of health, public health, education, and economic infrastructure. Children and health workers are targeted by combatants during attacks, and children are recruited or forced to take part in combat in a variety of ways. Armed conflict is both a toxic stress and a significant social determinant of child health.
