Arya, hailing from Kerala, the daughter of a Petrol Pump Assistant makes it to the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Her achievement has gone viral on social media, with significant figures including Union Petroleum Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri applauding her.
Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, the chairman of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), was the first to post Arya’s motivating narrative on the internet. Vaidya shared a photo of the father-daughter duo which has been circulating on social media.
Rajagopal, her father, is an IOC customer service representative. Arya has made everyone else at the petroleum company delighted, according to Vaidya, because of her dedication and accomplishment.

According to sources, the picture of the father-daughter was first circulated on a WhatsApp group of IOC dealers. Their pic attracted a larger audience once it was shared on the official IOC pages on social media channels.
According to Mathrabhumi, Arya’s father has worked with IOC for the past two decades. He has indeed been assigned to the Payyanur station in Kerala’s Kannur district.
On the other side, Arya’s mother, KK Sobhana, works at Bajaj Motors. Arya is said to have graduated from NIT Calicut with a B.Tech degree. She plans to pursue an M.Tech in Petrochemical Engineering at IIT Kanpur.
According to the local press, Arya only became renowned recently, but she has always excelled in school.
