Be it pathetic work culture or toxic work environment, your stubborn boss or irritating colleagues, at one point or another, we all have fantasized about quitting in a most creative manner, penning down all the thoughts that have troubled us for so long there. Instead, we end up giving a formal resignation letter writing about all the lies to convince how grateful you were to be part of this organization.

But not this man. What he has done will not only make you laugh out loud but also give you a hint about how to quit your job and express all your frustrations at one go.

So, how about a condolence card in case you are willfully leaving your workspace because you have had enough or probably you want to pursue your studies?

22-year-old Sam Baines, who works at a call center in Sheffield, England did exactly the same and sent a condolence card that says “So very sorry for your loss” to his boss to say that he is leaving. Also, when you open the card there is another message- “My last day at work is the 28th July.

On Twitter, his soon to be ex-colleague, Hannah, shared the card and the netizens completely lost it thinking why they haven’t done the same.

Till now the post has 435k hits and counting. It reads- “one of our team members handed in their notice like this.

Baines will be returning to university in September which is another reason why he had to quit his job. While talking to the Insider, he said, “We are a really close team and have a fantastic manager, so we’re always joking around and having fun. I knew I had to do something a little more creative when giving my notice to try and get one more joke in before I left!”

To this Hanna mentioned that everyone took the joke positively and were amused at the way he resigned and it was done in good spirit and not to evoke a petty reaction that few others were assuming.

While we understand, no point sticking to a place where no one recognizes your effort or pay heed to it, some are always willing to stay if the pay is better. While not all exits are interesting enough to remember, this one will surely stay in our memories for a long time.
