After his graduation from Delhi’s St. Stephen’s College, in 1993 Major Gaurav Arya joined OTA(Officers Training Academy) to satiate his utmost desire to serve the nation.
After going through the rigorous training in the academy, Major Gaurav was commissioned into the 17th Kumaon Regiment on 5th March 1994. For being whatever he is today, Major Gaurav remains ever grateful to the spirit of his regiment, their incredible courage, humbleness, and above all, the character every soldier displays by standing up for what is right.
Unfortunately, in 1999, a small mishappening impacted his lungs. Due to this medical concern, he opted out from the Indian Army. But it didn’t dampen his spirit. He picked up small jobs, and also completed his MBA in the mean time. He then went on to become the CEO of a multinational company. And recently, he resigned as the President of a Singapore based MNC.
Major Gaurav has now joined the vociferous ex-Times Now news anchor Arnab Goswami’s media startup, the Republic TV. He intends to produce programs on Military and strategic affairs during his association with Republic TV.
