100 Singers And Guitarists Sing ‘Pal’ In Kolkata
In an attempt to pay tribute to KK, 100 singers and guitarists of the city came together at Kolkata’s Nandan to sing his hit song ‘Pal’. The programme was organised by Team B Garden Buskers. The organizers informed that 300 persons turned out for the programme unexpectedly. They had held a similar programme at Botanical Gardens in Kolkata earlier.
KK’s Iconic Last Concert To Be Theme Of This Year’s Durga Puja Pandal In Kolkata
Paying tribute to the iconic singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, a Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata has decided to recreate the last performance of the legendary singer.
The pandal will be a replica of the Nazrul Manch, the auditorium where KK did his last performance on May 31st. The pandal will be located near Arabindo Setu and will also have a life-size statue of KK. In addition to this, the last concert of the iconic singer will also be played on a giant LED screen.
The Kabiraj Bagan Sarbojonin Puja committee coined this idea joining hands with a local organiser to recreate the auditorium.
The organisers will ensure that the lighting of the pandal will be exactly like it was on the day of the last and unfortunate yet memorable concert. KK’s statue and Maa Druga idol will be placed on the stage opposite each other adding a divine touch. The puja organisers will play the last 20 hit songs by KK sung by him on his last day, on all the seven days of the festivity.
Arijit Singh Sings ‘Yaaron Dosti’ Remembering KK At Vancouver Concert
The Indian music industry is still trying to process singer KK’s untimely demise.
Meanwhile in his recent concert in Canada following the incident, Arijit Singh paid remembered his colleague and mentor KK.
Arijit was seated and he played the piano on the stage while sharing what KK meant to him. Not many know that KK was the one who discovered Arijit Singh in a talent show.
His fans shared the video from the Vancouver concert on social media as Arijit remembered KK and played his popular song ‘Yaaron Dosti‘.
Shaan Sings ‘Pal’ At A Concert In Memory Of His Lost Friend KK
Singer Shaan/ Shaan Mukherji, paid a heartfelt tribute to late singer KK at an event. The singer shared a video from his performance where he sang KK’s hit number ‘Pal’ and left fans emotional.
The video begins with Shaan saying that he would like to start his performance by remembering KK through his evergreen song ‘Pal’, which comes with philosophical meaning. The crowd cheered for him as he sang a few lines from the iconic song. In the background, pictures of Shaan and KK were also displayed on a LED screen.
“Remembering Kakes. Don’t know why but that’s what I call him Kakes,” wrote Shaan in his Instagram post caption with the above visuals.
KK and Shaan had collaborated on several hit Hindi songs, such as Koi Kahe, Time To Disco, Dus Bahane, Golmaal, and much more. They last appeared together on Kapil Sharma’s show with Euphoria’s Palash Sen.
Mourning the death of KK, Shaan had previously shared a video of his stage performance with his friend.
“Life breaks you little by little…And once in a while…It destroys you…KK will always remain that eternal boy, who refused to grow up…He stayed unadulterated, uncorrupted…How he did it through all these years…Kept it simple and straight from the heart,” he wrote in a post following the singer’s death.
