For a moment, just imagine a life without your arms and legs. Scary. Isn’t it?
Meet Kyle Maynard. A motivational speaker, author, entrepreneur and an athlete. He was born on 24th March 1986 with a rare condition known as congenital amputation – with arms that end at the elbows and legs near the knees. Thanks to his parents, Scott and Anita, who were rock solid to stand behind and raised him to be as independent as he can be.
His disability was never an excuse for him to move on and celebrate life. Kyle has done all those things which he thought he should do and he can. He has, so far in life, wrestled for one of the best teams in the Southeast, set records in weightlifting, fought in mixed martial arts, and also became the first man to crawl on his own to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. He eats, shaves, gets dressed, writes, types, and drives all on his own without anyone’s assistance, prosthetics or special tools. He now lives alone in a three-story townhouse and his bedroom is on the top floor.
Kyle says his purpose in life is to help show other people their purpose, their capabilities. To help show people their true human potential.
