Sharing is Good Karma:

Baba Ka Dhaba has led to a wave of appeals in social media where people are sharing the miseries of other street vendors who are struggling to meet their ends. This time it is an 86-year-old man from Faridabad who has gone viral with his heart-wrenching story.

Chhanga Lal Baba sells Bhelpuri in his Chalta Firta Chana Bhelpuri Shop in the area. He lost his wife years ago and had two sons. One of them passed away as well and the other is paralyzed.

The octogenarian is struggling on the streets of Faridabad to support what is left of his family.

This story was first shared by a Facebook user named Vishal Chaubey on October 11 after which it went viral.

I met (Changga baba) Age 86 years old, he is working hard to survive life. Changga Baba’s wife is also not with him. Young son died and One son is paralyzed, baba lives for his family. Seriously Those who are around us also need our help and please if you can do something for baba so please visit changga baba chlta firta chana bhelpuri shop,” wrote Vishal.

The user further appealed to people to help the needy people in their own area rather than visiting only the ones that go viral. Here is the video.

Brother & sisters I request you all that – You don’t need to go delhi to support baba dhaba just look around yourself…

Old age has reduced his hearing, yet Chhanga Lal wakes up in the wee hours and pushes his cart till late evening to sell some Bhelpuri. He charges a mere Rs.5 per plate. One can only imagine how hard it is to meet all the expenses. While humans above 60 are at high risk of getting infected by the coronavirus, he is even putting his life in danger by going out every day. He has no choice really.

The only relief is that he has a daughter-in-law to lend him some help. Yet even she earns very little as she serves as domestic help. Meeting the needs is even then tough as she has three kids.

Baba told India Times that their combined income sums up to about Rs.6,000 with which they have to bear the cost of food, children’s expenses, son’s medicines, etc. The pandemic has made things more challenging. They got ration once or twice but that was all.

The family lives in rented accommodation and has to pay Rs.1,200 per month. Yet Chhanga Lal is hopeful of overcoming all the hardship.

To help this bhelpuri wala you can directly visit his stall or transfer money in the account whose details are mentioned below.

  • Name: Changa Lal
  • Account No: 3224605014
  • IFSC Code: CBIN0280299

We hope, together, we can make Baba smile.
