Ukrainian business leader Maksym Krippa has announced the launch of two television channels under his company, LLC Maincast. The new channels, Maincast Sport and Maincast, will be available through OTT platforms and cable networks starting November 30, 2024, as confirmed by the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting.

Maincast Sport is dedicated to broadcasting sports, offering live coverage of international events featuring Ukrainian athletes. The channel’s mission is to showcase Ukraine’s sports achievements and amplify the visibility of its national teams on a global level. In contrast, the Maincast channel aims to attract a broader audience by delivering a mix of entertainment content. Both channels will exclusively air in Ukrainian, bolstering the nation’s cultural identity and strengthening its media landscape.
Pioneering Media Growth
In addition to the TV channels, Maincast plans to introduce a sports-centered OTT platform, Maincast.tv. Vitaliy Volochay, the company’s co-founder, emphasized that this platform will fulfill the growing demand for premium Ukrainian-language content. According to Volochay, investing in localized broadcasts and innovative media is crucial to advancing Ukraine’s esports and entertainment sectors.
