Citizens across India have called for driving no cars on Sundays to control air pollution levels.
A social media campaign was initiated by Indian environmentalists, #NoCarSundays, to attain #CleanAirEveryday which was observed in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and other cities of India.
Vehicular Emissions are a major source of Air Pollution causing more than 400K deaths around the world every year.
Delhi, the capital city of India, is surrounded by Aravali and Yamuna River which once attracted the Mughals and British with its Natural beauty. But now it is a concrete garden and often ranking amongst the topmost cities across the world in causing pollution.
To make an effort to reduce Vehicular Emissions, the concerned citizens launched the #NoCarSundays campaign on social media, wherein they have been requesting citizens to not use their cars on Sundays and instead opt for Public Transport, E-vehicles, E-Bike, Cycles, and Walking.
Transportation sources account for approximately 1/3rd of PM pollution in India!*
By driving one less day every week, you can help the planet inch towards #CleanAirEveryday.

Likewise, many joined in from other cities.
Be a part of the solution not a part of the pollution.
