Previously, this teenager from Haryana became the youngest Indian woman to reach the peak of Mount Everest, and now by scaling Africa’s Highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, Shivangi Pathak has added another feather to her cap.
This 17-year-old teen, who is from Haryana’s Hisar city has scaled the peak in three days. Now she awaits an official confirmation of the fact that there is a possibility that a new record has been created with this feat.
While talking to ANI, Shivangi said since childhood she wanted to be a notch higher than the rest. “I always wanted to do something different and stand out from the crowd. I saw a video of Arunima Sinha and started researching about mountaineering. This got me inspired to take up this activity,” she said.
Further, Shivangi acknowledged the constant support of her parents and family on her incredible journey. She aims to be an inspiration to girls pan India to fearlessly pursue their passion.
Her next target is to scale Europe’s highest peak. She said, “Girls need to convince their parents that they can achieve their goals. Parents, in turn, should support their daughters in every way possible. There is nothing that women can’t do.”
