According to a report by The Guardian, the birds were spotted between the areas of McCarren International airport and the University of Nevada, but the sad part is that these hats were glued to their heads.
The unusual sighting left people amused and delighted. There were several animal activists who expressed concern as well.
Check out some Twitter reactions:
They look kind of cool with hats. Stylish.

I hope these hats aren’t glued to their heads. It’s a new “trend” of dove releases (which are cruel, releasing domesticated birds into the wild unable to fend for themselves :c )
It is cute, but it isn’t safe for outdoor pigeons, the colors make them easier prey!

How are the hats affixed? Are these wild birds or someone’s homing pigeons? I agree this looks funny, but it could be endangering or impairing these animals @NevadaSPCA ??
