Ishita Kishore
Topping the examination, Ishita Kishore’s outstanding performance underscores her dedication, perseverance, and commitment to public service. Her success serves as an inspiration to aspiring civil servants and highlights the importance of a well-rounded education.
While speaking to a media house, she talked about her motivation to crack the UPSC exams. She said her objective was to serve the nation, and Indian Administrative Services gives an unparalleled opportunity to do so, and that motivated her to put in sincere efforts while appearing for the IAS.
Ishita also mentioned that she is a National Level Football player. She was raised singlehandedly by her champion mother, who always encouraged her to give due diligence to sports and keep a balanced approach in life.
Garima Lohia
Securing the second position, Garima Lohia’s remarkable academic brilliance and comprehensive understanding of socio-economic issues have propelled her to this exceptional achievement.
Her success highlights the significance of holistic education in navigating the challenges of civil services. She credits her UPSC success to her father, whom she lost in 2015.
In an interview with the media house, Garima said she always kept her father’s photograph with her for inspiration, and it’s his blessings behind her success.
Uma Harathi
Emerging as the third topper, Uma Harathi’s exemplary performance reflects her leadership qualities and administrative acumen. She opted for Anthropology as her optional subject and, at the time of preparation, would read a lot about current affairs.
Uma hails from a humble family in Telangana. Her father is Narayanpet district’s police superintendent, who motivated her to do civil services.
Smriti Mishra
Securing the fourth rank in UPSC 2022, Smriti Mishra’s accomplishment showcases her dedication and perseverance. Her success exemplifies the importance of hard work and determination in pursuing a career in public service. Smriti’s father proudly talks about her daughter, who made the entire Prayagraj, Delhi University, and her school in Agra proud.
Out of the 685 qualifiers, 244 candidates come from the general category. This demonstrates that excellence knows no boundaries and talent prevails irrespective of social or economic background.
73 Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates have cleared the examination. This inclusion highlights the government’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The results showcase the success of 203 candidates from the OBC category, further emphasizing the importance of representation and equal opportunities for all sections of society. The success of 105 candidates from the SC category and 60 candidates from the ST category reflects the progress made in promoting inclusivity and empowering marginalized communities.
