We all lack one thing or the other. However, complaining about our shortcomings never leads us anywhere, and instead, we must make peace and be thankful for what we have and grow in the process.
Aboli Jarit, a 19-year-old girl from Nagpur has exemplified this. She was diagnosed with a rare condition that stunted her growth at a young age, resulting in a body height of 3-feet and 4-inches. Yet she sure has tall dreams.
She is often mistaken for a child or toddler as though she is 19-years-old; she is smaller than teenagers of her age. But she does not care about the remarks or backlash and aspires to be a star.
Aboli’s rare condition and its perils
Aboli suffers from renal rickets or osteomalacia. It is a rare condition in humans that combines a bone deformity and chronic renal disease, or kidney failure. This has caused her to lack a urinary bladder which forces her to wear a diaper and to her dismay, there is no solution to this problem. This condition troubles her in walking and doing daily activities like a normal human.
“Not many people have this rare disease, the good thing is I’m still surviving and most people can’t survive with this. But all the doctors said that there is no solution and it will remain the same,” she added.
Chasing dreams
None of this has let the girl give up on life.
Aboli is into all the things that most people of her age do. Like, she has an Instagram account, where she posts all her latest photos and videos. She wants to be famous and wants people to recognize her in a different way for her talent and not due to her height.
As a child, Aboli initially tried singing and dancing with the dream to become an actress but as her bones became progressively weaker, she found herself unable to stand. She began falling down and once fractured her leg, which later became so painful that she stopped walking altogether. However, she continues to dance while sitting down, proving her unbeatable talent.

Her family has proven to be her backbone. Her mum Vanita, 53, and dad Vijay, 65, as well as her siblings and extended family including cousins, uncles, and aunties everyone support her a lot.
It was her brother Akash who boosted her confidence further and helped her enter the Indian Idol. After that, she continued her pursuit of becoming an actress – even starring on Indian Idol.
“When I went to Indian Idol, it was a matter of great pleasure for me, I can’t tell you how much I loved it,” Aboli said.
In fact, she was an utter favorite of Judge Neha Kakkar and has numerous magical mushy moments with her on-screen.
“I want to become a singer and an actor, in Bollywood and Hollywood, I hope to be able to do it soon,” she shared.
She has also become a finalist in Miss Wheelchair.
Battling hatred with talent
To add to her challenges, Aboli gets a lot of hatred online for her condition. But she doesn’t let anything affect her. She seems to have mentally trained herself to stay positive and not be affected by negative people, rather aiming to be a model.
“I am my own inspiration because I have learned to live life from what has happened to me from childhood till today,” Aboli concluded.
