While most of us are busy figuring out exotic locations or are looking for best available gifts for the loved ones during Christmas, the 44th president of the US showed the world what the holiday season is all about!
Teaming his casual clothes with a Santa hat and carrying a sack of toys, Barack Obama stopped by the Washington Children’s National Health System, a hospital in Washington D.C, to spread a little Christmas cheer.
“All those folks who are having a tougher Christmas are potentially in need of a little bit of support. If you have a chance sometime during this holiday season, to help out somebody who is having a tough time, that’s what this holiday season is all about…..Wherever the family is, wherever the people you love are, that’s where Christmas is. That’s the whole thing,” said Obama.

In another video shared by the hospital authorities, he can be heard saying, “At a time that’s obviously tougher for folks…to have nurses, staff, doctors, people who are caring for [the children], looking after them, just being there for him and holding their hand. That’s the most important thing there is. What a great reminder of what the holiday spirit is supposed to be all about.”
Thank you @BarackObama for making our patients’ day so much brighter. Your surprise warmed our hallways and put smiles on everyone’s faces! Our patients loved your company…and your gifts! https://t.co/bswxSrA4sQ ❤️ #HolidaysAtChildrens #ObamaAndKids pic.twitter.com/qii53UbSRS

This is a complete luxury- the human capacity to transform something into emotions.
As a kid we have all felt the love around us, we have always wanted to grab it and never let it go. We all can do our bit to make someone else’s life brighter. Obama’s kind gesture shows why living a humble life is so important.
The video got 2.06 million views in 2 days and still counting. Here is what twitteratis have to say:
This is the best gesture of compassion. These kids are sick and suffering. You gave their system a boost of delight. Love it!
