If the winter is not sending a chill down your spine and you are planning for a vacation ahead to a beautiful hill station, Kerala’s Munnar can be the ideal choice.

While ‘God’s Own Country’ is beautiful in its own way, Munnar looks way more spectacular with layers of frost as the temperature dipped as low as minus three degrees, the lowest Kerala has witnessed this season.

According to few local reports, the thin layers of frost were seen in places like Marayur and Kanthalloor, also in the meadows and tea plants in Meesapulimala, Kolukkumalai, Gudarala, Kundala, Chenduvara and Kannimala in and around Munnar.

Due to the blissful blanket of ice in these regions, the tourism has also increased and travel agents, resort owners as well as farmers are also happy as some believe that it is good for rabi crops.
