With spiking petroleum price, it has been hard for the common man to commute. At the same time, the Indian Government is promoting alternate energy, especially electric vehicles with subsidies, schemes, and tax relaxation.  This in turn has brought about a massive change in automobile industry which has led companies to launch EV variants of their vehicles along with exclusive electric vehicle companies.

Yet the old vehicles that people owned such good old bicycles lay unused and EV is also not affordable for most people in our country. This is where a new device comes to the rescue.

This Revolutionary EV Kit Can Turn Your Good Old Cycle Into An Electric Bike

Dhruv Vidyut Electric Conversion Kit (DVECK) founded and created by Gursaurabh Singh has a revolutionary technology that can convert any bicycle into a battery-powered and motorized vehicle. This converted electric bike will have a top speed of 25kmph and payload capacity of 170 kilograms. On top of all, you do not need big tools or mechanical expertise for the conversion but just the easy to fit and function kit.

Mahindra To Invest In EV Kit

Anand Mahindra, who is one of the major industrialists of India, is known for an eye for remarkable efforts to make society better gave a big push to the device. In a tweet fostering collaboration between Mahindra and Singh, the Mahindra & Mahindra honcho lauded the brains behind DVECK.

Mahindra attached the video ad of the device with his tweet that shows the marvels of DVECK in a humbly-yet-creatively directed presentation. First it introduces the inventor of DVECK, Gursaurabh Singh, and then the application of DVECK onto a basic bullhorn-handlebar bicycle.

“It is a good reminder for all automakers focusing on disruptive EVs that THIS EV revolution may be the most important one,” tweeted Mahindra.

Mr. Anand emphasizes that kit is not the first-of-its-kind yet it stands out for its outstanding design—compact & efficient, ruggedness, safety, and for its savvy—comes with a phone charging port. He elaborately talked about the influence the cognizance of this invention had on him.

The industrialist showed his vested interest to become an investor despite the fact that this invention “will succeed commercially or be substantially profitable”.

“I still would feel proud to be an investor,” he wrote and requested Twitter users to get him in touch with Gursaurabh.

Mahindra’s interest reached the creator of DVECK, who, in a tweet, expressed that he is looking forward to talking to him.

“My dream of getting this invention to the 8 crore people across India feels so within grasp all of a sudden.. @anandmahindra, all innovators like me look upto you, know that you will support us like u always do, time and again. Looking forward to talking to you sir. Happiest day,” he tweeted.

About 58 percent of India’s population still use bicycles as their primary mode of transportation. Imagine the impact this kit could have.
