This father, for sure, has set new parenting goals where students are also becoming a part of the rat race of marks and grades. A resident of Sagar city in Madhya Pradesh, civil contractor Surendra Kumar Vyas surprised everyone by throwing a party for his son who has failed the class X board examination on Monday, May 14.

From lighting firecrackers to distributing sweets and organizing a music orchestra- everything happened in this odd celebration and it sets a sure shot example of new-age parenting done right.

If you still don’t believe us, then watch the video:

According to the TOI report, Vyas said, “This is how I want to motivate my son. After failing in exams, children go into depression and some of them even take the extreme step of ending their lives. I want to tell such children that boards are not the last exams. There is much more to come in life,” he said, adding, “My son can reappear in the exam again next year.

Friends, relatives, and neighbors came in large number to attend the party. Vyas’ son Anshu who was overwhelmed by his father’s cool idea, said, he appreciates his father’s support and promises to study more in the next academic session to score good marks.

Failure is very much a part of success and definitely not the opposite of success. So celebrate it as much as you celebrate your success. Tomorrow is a new day. A new beginning.
