About 8.12 million people out of a total of 14.5 Million active cases have beaten the ongoing coronavirus pandemic since its outbreak. Though the virus has ended loads of lives, its survival rate is pretty high.

In a heartwarming video, a girl named Saloni Satpute from Pune’s Dhankewada is seen dancing her heart out to the song Tai Tai Phish from the movie Chillar Party to welcome her sister Snehal who returned home after beating coronavirus.

Saloni was isolated at her home while her entire family including parents, grandparents, and sister were under treatment at various hospitals across the city. The 23-year-old explained that her gesture was a clear message to her neighbors who ostracized her entire family after most of them tested positive.

This Sunday, the video was shared on twitter by IPS officer Dipanshu Kabra, who echoed the sentiments of thousands of others when he wrote that he loved the sisters’ duet.

Back on July 4, Saloni Satpute’s father, an employee of cloth shop, was the first to develop the symptoms of the virus. He tested positive and was admitted to Bharati Hospital in Pune. Later on, her family members, including her octogenarian grandparents who suffer from severe ailments, were found positive.

With the growing unavailability of hospital beds, the family was soon scattered with Saloni’s mother and grandparents being treated in AIMS, Aundh, and sister, Snehal at Sinhgaad hostel. What added more to Saloni’s sadness was that she was left all alone and not a single soul in the vicinity showed her any support.

Saloni’s parents and grandparents have already been discharged from their respective hospitals. Her sister Snehal was the last one to recover. The Pune girl was overwhelmed when she learned that her welcome dance video had gone viral.

Since the video being posted, it has garnered over 21.4K views and hundreds of ‘retweets’ and comments.
