In yet another heart-wrenching incident, actor Asif Basra was found dead in Himachal Pradesh’s Mcleodganj, the police reported. A forensic team arrived at the spot to find out how he died, the police said, adding they are investigating whether it was death by suicide.
The 53-year-old had a property on lease in Mcleodganj, a place popular among tourists, and Asif used to visit the hill station often.
He appeared most recently in the thriller series Paatal Lok and had also acted in a number of popular Bollywood films, including Jab We Met, Black Friday, Parzania, and many more.
Directors Hansal Mehta and Onir were among the first to condole the death of actor Asif Basra on Thursday. Later, co-actor Danish Husain and Manoj Bajpayee also expressed their shock and paid tribute.
