‘Empowering’ and ‘inclusive’ is what netizens are feeling about Nike’s new strong move.
While body shaming is yet to be tackled, the US sportswear giant introduced for the first time their plus size and para-sport mannequins on a retail space.
Last week in London, where Nike’s flagship store lies, the company has introduced the new products to “celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of sport” and further mentioned in a press release that “the space will not just celebrate local elite and grassroot athletes through visual content, but also show Nike plus size and para-sport mannequins for the first time on a retail space.”
Applauding the new move, one of the Twitter comments read- “This was my first time seeing a mannequin that actually looks similar to me.”
Thank you @nike ❤️ This was my first time seeing a mannequin that actually looks similar to me pic.twitter.com/FXWTU6nJNO
