This 61-year-old man from Mumbai has proved that fitness has no age barriers. His marathon from Jammu & Kashmir to Kanyakumari is a testimony to it.
Named Kumar Ajwani, the man will cover a total distance of 4,444 km over 76 days attempting to create a world record by any Indian of his age. He started the journey on November 19.
Ajwani is representing a Non-Governmental Organization named Team Fab Foundation which was founded by him with a mission to spread awareness and raise funds for disabled soldiers. Another objective of Mr. Ajwani is to upgrade tribal schools in Maharashtra.
Ajwani has run many inter-city and inter-state marathons for social causes.

Sainik Welfare department, J&K, accorded a warm welcome to Mr. Ajwani at Sainik Bhawan as he reached there on the third day of his campaign, commencing from Patnitop hill resort in Udhampur district on November 19. He was flagged off from the office of Rajya Sainik Board by its Director Brigadier Gurmeet Singh Shan in the presence of a large number of ex-servicemen.

The Foundation was started by a group of runners, who wanted to combine their passion for running with their desire to help society. In the recent past, they provided meals to COVID Warriors, felicitated them, and also worked towards a hospital up-gradation in Maharashtra.
