Foodies have been battling the pandemic like anything. From turning chefs to ordering moms to cook delicacies, the world seems to have done everything possible on earth to charm their taste buds.
Thankfully with the government’s directions for unlocking the country, everyone’s loved street food is back. Yet the fear for corona attack persists.
But not to worry.
To solve this issue, a man named Soumi from Chhattisgarh’s capital city Raipur has set up an automatic pani puri machine. This innovative stall reduces contact and completely skips the step where the vendor dips their hand in the spiced syrup container.
The vendor came to limelight after IAS officer Awanish Sharan posted a video on microblogging site Twitter sharing the newest jugaad in town. Check out the video below.

As seen in the video, the golgappa or fuchka, whatever you call it, the machine dispenses three varieties of water – garlic, khatta meetha, dhaniya pudina – as per your liking.
Named “Touch Me Not Pani Puri“, the stall is located in Marine Drive, Telibandha area in Raipur.
Since it has been posted on September 17, the stall has gone viral on social media with 56.1K views, 919 retweets, 95 quote tweets, and 5.6K likes.
Pani puri lovers are queuing at the stall to savor the all-time favorite street food that they failed to have during the lockdown.
Here are a few responses.

So they say… Necessity is the mother of invention.
Not books or education but necessity makes humans innovate. That has been the way of world from the beginning.

Some even pointed out that there have been similar stalls in the past yet it is quite effective in the pandemic and should be encouraged.

Wish all the cities had similar vending machines. Craving already?
